The power of lightning in the palm of your hand.

In an instant, lightning plunges from a cloud and shatters the air. Though the pencil-thin flash lasts but a fragment of a second, the intensity can vaporize anything it hits.  In rare instances when a bolt makes contact with bare ground, a tangible scar may remain.  These glassy, buried channels are not just rocks, they are fulgurites.  And they are as close as most will ever get to lightning.
