Lightning has long been a misunderstood phenomenon.  Even though modern scientists have studied lightning extensively, a lot remains unknown.  Lightning terrorizes, yet it dazzles and delights.

This gallery showcases some amazing lightning photos alongside facts I have uncovered during my research of lightning.  Where possible, I will cite sources and give photo credit.
